Carrier Bryant Air-conditioning service and repair

We can service and repair refrigerant leaks on your existing Carrier Or Bryant air-conditioning system. With emphasis on repair not replacement.
Carrier and Bryant heat pump and air conditioners (usually the round ones 38 series) have an inherent problem with the refrigerant lines leaking where they go into the outdoor unit. This is caused by a compression fitting that they use. This fitting will not leak until the one day that they are kicked or the unit is moved. We can repair this problem by soldering the copper line into the valve so it wont leak. This repair is 99% successful in stopping leaks on Carrier and Bryant equipment. The indoor coil is aluminum on copper and doesn't seem to have the same problems the the outdoor section does but still can leak. The nwer equipment has this problem solved.
One of the ways that you can tell that you have a problem is by the tell tale oil stains (the oil leaves dirt) around the valves. However certain leaks will not leave oil.There are literally thousands of air-conditioning service and repair companies in the county; unfortunately most repair your equipment by telling you that you need a new one and how much money you will save by replacing your air-conditioning unit whether it works or not.
We here at G&S mechanical believe that the customer is entitled to have their Air conditioning unit repaired unless it is just not cost effective to have it done or if the unit is really damaged. Many of the larger companies including local utilities will take advantage of simple problems like burned off wires or bad contactor that can be repaired at a nominal fee.
We have seen many cases where a system is leaking refrigerant 22 for many years and the leak is obvious and can be fixed easily instead of adding refrigerant constantly.
We have seen situations were several different companies will simply keep adding refrigerant and charging the customer for it until the compressor is ruined. Contrary to popular belief an air conditioner only needs the correct amount of freon 22; adding more will make the system work harder and not cool as well.
